Clips and Tips

When you make a particular move or a message point, try using a good graphic or photo to help support your expressive thoughts.  Use one of the tools from the tools bar and learn to download a picture.  Creative pictures can be a very useful tool in your blog building efforts or your business development.  Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words.  Be careful to respect copyright protections, too.  Be interesting and honest, humorous but not too corny.  You may discover how fine the line is between readership or a lost audience.  Be careful.  Think hard and then think again...but do not think your way out of doing.

Too Corny Like This, Might Be Too Much.  Think It Through.

Teach Yourself To Push Through Stuff

Obstacles Are Not Always Given Warnings
As you develop thoughts and ideas you will discover many obstacles come into your path on your trek to build a blog or a business.  You will need to prepare your mind to learn how to push through many of those obstacles.  The bigger your ideas, the larger the obstacles seem to become.  Furthermore, the more your blog or business grows, the greater the obstacles will become.  You must prepare your mind to accept these things and work to develop mental toughness and a stronger desire to succeed.  In the long run, the level of strength you possess on being able to push through obstacles will greatly determine how much success you will be able to manage.  This step is the kind of step that is ongoing.  You do not get to do this step once and it is all over.  This step requires constant attention from the outset of beginning your business to the day you call it quits.  It is a step that weaves itself into what you will become.  It will become one of those things that forms part of the fabric of all the things you do.  Once you get this process down, you can handle the obstacles that will interrupt your efforts to succeed in building your blog or your business.  If you already possess these traits, good for you.  You have an edge that will come in handy.  If you do not possess these traits, learn how to develop them.  Search out some good reading material on the subject and begin to add that lesson practice to your efforts.  You will need these skills developed to build a good business.  In the meantime, continue to build.  You can acquire these skills much like on the job training.  In fact, the hard knocks you acquire in building your blog or business will offer plenty of lessons to file away.  Push through and keep moving forward.

Find A Time Slot

Time will move fast, so be careful with it.
One of the most important steps for building a blog or a business is to determine what you are willing to give up in your daily routine.  Your days are already filled with stuff you do.  You may not consider your patterns of daily living as routine as they really are, but they do have a routine pattern to them.  When you introduce something new you want to do, you will be faced with deciding what part of your daily routine you are willing to give up.  Remember, when you add something new to your routine you are not getting additional time to perform that new something.  When you build a blog or decide you want to build your own business, you must determine what other thing in your time allotments must go away.  You might have to quit watching evening television, or something like that.  One will need to squeeze the other one out.  You cannot have both.  So, in the end, you must find a time slot you will dedicate that will be provided for you to build your business.  Without accepting and providing for that step, you will eventually fail.  (TIP: To the very wise...the time slot you set for building your business will begin to grow if you are serious about building a successful business.  Eventually, that time slot will begin to consume many of the other time slots you are currently protecting.  Think long and hard about this tip before you commit to building a successful business.)

Practice An Edit Or Two

Maybe You Found A Better Fit To The Piece You Already Completed.
Sometimes you come back to your blog and discover something more important to share.  A better picture, a better thought, a better design.  You can edit those changes.  Be mindful of editing information that has implications that if changed, could create someone harm.  Think these things through, but edit as you wish.  It is your site, your information, your expressive right.  This ability will help you feel more secure in posting.  You always have the right, ability and knowledge to edit what you present.  Good job.  Practice some editing.  Change a picture...take one away.  I did.

Played With Blogger Tools...Learned Some Things

It's not as puzzling as you think.
The first thing you need to do is remove any fears you may have about doing something wrong when you try testing the blogger website tools.  Once you select a blog builder site to use, start experimenting with the tools.  Be patient, read and look at what changes take place each time you click a tool option.  You can look at the changes you made by clicking the 'preview' tab found somewhere on your tool builder pages.  Just play with the tools to experiment with colors, transparencies, section arrangements, fonts and other edits.  Take some time to get 'a feel' for what is going on.  Then once you get a feel for the tools, begin arranging the 'look' of your blog.  Be very open to use all of the links suggested by your blog builder site.  Remember, they want you to succeed.

Be open to reading other sites that have suggestions on how to build a blog.  Oodles of information out there to help you.  Be open to spending some time getting to know what is going on as you build your blog site.  This is not a microwave process that in just two easy clicks and you are done.  This will take some time.  Maybe you can plan some kind of routine time slots to dedicated as you learn and build your blog.  Try all of the tools, even the ones that make no sense to you or the ones that are of little interest to you right now.  You need to know the power of all the options given to you to use.  Good luck.  I know more today than when I first started.  Kind of cool.

Learning To Use Blogger Tools

Find The Tools And Use Them

Today I spent a little time with moving around the blogger site and played with the tools.  The blogger site had some updates they added since the last time I played with the tools.  Double the learning.  I have much more to learn.  The new tools they added are kind of neat.  Hmmm, more things to do to my blog.

Decisions, Decisions...Decisions.

Make Decisions Quickly, You Can Always Edit Them.
It is not so easy trying to write something worthwhile and relevant. So much information that is circulating is not very useful. I need to work on developing the skills to sit down and share relevant and useful information. Each of us have so much to offer that we do not notice what is worthwhile and what is not. For now, I only have one driving thought. I was moved by the little 10 year old girl who sang with an unbelievable big and mature voice last night on America's Got Talent. It was extremely inspiring. I got goose bumps even when I tried to stop them. At least for now, check it out. It was impressive. I guess I think impressive material that inspires is useful. I will work on that concept.

In The Beginning...Find A Blog Builder Site

Speak Clear

I am learning how to build a blog site. This is a stretch for me. I think this is a way to express yourself and share thoughts. Kind of nice, but the audience seems invisible. I think blogging may be a lot like what radio DJ's experience. They chit chat a lot into a microphone, with nobody in front of them. They cannot read the facial responses connected to what they are saying. They have an invisible audience.

Maybe that is part of the benefit. Sharing thoughts without immediate rejection. Who knows?

To begin, find a blog builder site.  Anyone 'free' one will do.  I like this one.  Click the 'blogger' link at the bottom of this page.  Good luck.
